The Ghai Charitable Foundation is honoured to provide the Om Ghai Scholarship for youth with Indigenous ancestry who have attended the Delta School District #37. The mission of this scholarship is to make Post - Secondary education (academic, trades, careers) accessible to resilient youth. The foundation will do this by helping to relieve some of the financial burden of students who have been accepted for Post - Secondary study. ELIGIBILITY The Om Ghai Scholarship is open to students with Indigenous ancestry, from the Delta School District #37, registered in an undergraduate program at a Canadian accredited university, college, trade school or technical school. There is one application for all of Indspire’s bursaries, scholarships, and awards (with a few exceptions that you’ll see below). Apply Now Bursaries, Scholarships and Awards with unique deadlines Ted Rogers Scholarship Fund For Indigenous Students The Ted Rogers Scholarship through Indspire is for Canadian Indigenous students entering their first year of a post-secondary program in the fall of 2023. It is a renewable award of $2,500 per year for students enrolled in a minimum two-year post-secondary program to a maximum of four years. While enrolled in post-secondary students must maintain a full-time course load to receive the renewed support each year. Students who attended post-secondary previous to the fall 2023 are not eligible. Deadline to apply is March 1, 2023. Deadline: April 30, 2022 Value: $3, 000 This award is for students who are admitted to the Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences, or the Faculty of Science. At least three of the 15 awards available will be for Indigenous students. Students must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents. https://www.sfu.ca/students/financialaid/entrance/HS_Awards_Bursaries.html The SFU Indigenous Student Entrance Award is offered to Indigenous Canadian students entering Simon Fraser University from a Canadian secondary school or BC college/university program. The applicant will have demonstrated involvement within the Indigenous community through service and/or cultural contribution. Regular secondary school applicants must have grades in the 80% range in the courses required for their selected program, IB diploma applicants must have the minimum IB diploma score required for admission, and college/university applicants must have a minimum 2.50 transfer GPA (not rounded up).
Entrance Award and Bursary Applicants coming from a BC/Yukon regular secondary school must self-report their grades by the deadline date.

You are invited to SFU's annual Virtual Indigenous Preview Day for Indigenous high school students in grades 8-12 and mature students who may be interested in pursuing post-secondary education.
Indigenous Preview Day is an opportunity for students to connect and explore how rewarding their SFU experience can be. Students will learn about our academic programs, hear from current Indigenous students, engage in cultural programming, and connect with us to learn about exciting projects in our faculties. The event will be hosted virtually via Zoom with different content in each session.
